Cancer Support Association WA

The Cancer Support Association in Cottesloe has recently launched their 2012 program which includes a new 5 Week Cancer Wellness Course, An Absolute Beginners Yoga Course (suitable for people with cancer and other illnesses), Special Guest Speakers and Healers, an Exercise for Cancer Program, A Men's Cancer Support Group and a new Cancer Wellness Walking Group.

The Cancer Wellness Walking Group was established by CSA because of the many benefits that regular exercise and moderate sunshine brings people with cancer and to help them make connections with others on the cancer journey. There are many studies that show that regular exercise is a major contributing factor in cancer recovery. Connecting with others and belonging to a community are also important factors in wellbeing and healing.

People with cancer, their carers, families and children are invited to join members of the CSA Wellness Team for a weekly walk along Cottesloe Beach every Tuesday morning followed by a juice (or coffee) at the Blue Duck Cafe. Participants will benefit from exercising in the outdoors in good company, connect with the CSA team and others on the cancer wellness journey.

CSA's wellness walking group will be an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of exercise and a friendly chat with members of the CSA Wellness Team and other people on the cancer wellness journey.

Meet at the Blue Duck Cafe, North Cottesloe Tuesday mornings at 8am.

All welcome, no charge, bookings not required. Parents are welcome to bring their children.

Every Tuesday 8am-9am. Call CSA on 9384 3544 or go to www.cancersupportwa.org.au for more details about the Cancer Wellness Walking Group and other CSA programs and events.
