Sculpture by the Sea is an annual event run at Cottesloe beach. The event began in Bondi, Sydney in 1997 when David Handley the Foundation Director wanted to create a free to the public major exhibition of arts. In 2005, Sculpture by the sea was launched in Cottesloe and has been held annually at Cottesloe Beach.

Each year the Town of Cottesloe purchases a peice of art from the exhibition and places it in the Cottesloe area. Please click here to see details of these peices of art.

The Town of Cottesloe works with the staff at Sculpture by the sea to help facilitate this brillant community minded cultural event. The 2013 Sculpture by the Sea will be Cottesloe's 9th Annual exhibition. The event will run between 8 March and 25 March 2013 at the main Cottesloe Beach with over 60 local, interstate and international artists will transform Perth's most popular beach into a stunning sculpture park overlooking the Indian Ocean.
