Recycling
|
To assist residents with their personal recycling commitment council provides a fortnightly recycling collection (paper, cans, glass, plastics) through the 240litre yellow lid bin. The general household rubbish collection is carried out weekly for household items that cannot be separated from the waste stream.

Greenwaste Collection
Council supports composting of household and green waste in vermin proof containers. Where composting of green waste is not a viable option Council provides 4 verge, green waste collections each year during the months of March, May, September and November. to assist with the removal of unwanted bulk items, 2 bulk waste collection are carried out each year. Residents are notified of the forthcoming waste collection date in the weeks leading up to the collection. Large bags suitable for the collection of green waste can be obtained from the administration centre and are returned to the property for reuse after the green waste collection. Green waste is mulched and used on civic gardens.

The Town of Cottesloe provides two bulk waste (household rubbish that can not fit in the waste bins) collections a year to residential properties only. E-Waste Recycling
|
E-waste such as computers may be disposed at the Brockway Transfer Station at no cost and at the Town of Cottesloe Depot. Council also encourages the recycling of household batteries. These can be delivered to Council for disposal.
