Team Leader - Mowing

$71,768.63 - $72,308.25 per year + Superannuation
The Town of Cottesloe, a vibrant local government area located in Perth's picturesque western suburbs, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Leading Hand - Mowing to join our team within the Parks and Operations department. This full-time permanent position is based in the heart of Cottesloe.
As the Leading Hand - Mowing, you will supervise the Mowing team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Reporting to the Coordinator Works, you will plan and assign duties, maintain equipment, and ensure safety compliance. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing safety management, and being part of the on-call roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Mowing team and ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Collaborate with the Coordinator Works to plan and allocate tasks.
- Maintain Council vehicles and machinery.
- Enforce Work Health and Safety regulations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the public and contractors.
- Assist with on-call duties and other tasks as required.
About you
The following selection criteria is essential for the role:
- Current MR Licence (minimum)/HR preferred.
- Strong communication, management, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Australian working rights and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical.
