The Town of Cottesloe has joined forces with e-bike specialists BYKKO to trial an e-bike rental scheme in Cottesloe.
Local operator Ozie Bike is running the program which consists of an integrated bike docking system with a mobile device check out that allows you to rent an e-bike whenever you like.
There are 12 e-bikes in the Town, four at three locations - on Marine Parade next to the Napier Street playground, on the grass next to Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club, and outside Cottesloe Train Station (on the Curtin Avenue side, near the Lucky Country sculpture).
Acting Mayor Cr Lorraine Young says the scheme is a great way for the Town to test out a smart mobility option with the community.
“Being the first Local Government in Western Australia to trial mobile e-bike rental, we are proud that the Town is able to be a leader in the smart mobility space and we hope this becomes a popular alternative for short trips.
“Enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and visitors is one of our key priorities and providing easy access to active travel options supports this goal.”
Ozie Bike e-bike rental is now available. Simply scan the QR code at the bike or visit ozie.bykko.net to get started
