State Development Assessment Unit

Under the Planning and Development Act 2005 (as amended by the Planning and Development Amendment Act 2020), a newly introduced Part 17 grants the Western Australian Planning Commission temporary decision-making powers to determine proposals of State or regional significance, with a project value of over $20 million in metropolitan Perth, and over $5 million in regional areas. 

The newly formed State Development Assessment Unit falls within the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and forms part of the Department's Land Use Planning Division.

Apartments & Commercial (Cafe) Development - 120 Marine Parade COTTESLOE

*Please be advised the applicant has submitted revised plans to the State Development Assessment Unit for this development.

The revised development proposal reduces the original proposed height of nine storeys by one storey (eight storeys) and removal of the roof terrace.

The revised proposal for a mixed use development includes 14 apartments (reduced from 16 apartments), a commercial tenancy (cafe) and two levels of basement parking.
