Community Grants Program

The Town of Cottesloe recognises the value of charitable organisations in our community that support the provision of services, programs and initiatives that make Cottesloe vibrant and iconic.

The Town's Community Grants Program is currently under review. We look forward to providing an update on the program when it becomes available.

The Town has granted funds to assist many worthwhile projects over the past few years. This includes skin cancer awareness, coastal native planting, nature play equipment, shade sails and social tennis sessions. Past recipients include:

Whalebone Classic participants

Surfing WA - Whalebone Longboard Championships

The Whalebone Longboard Classic has grown in popularity and prestige over the past 20 years, making it one of the most loved and iconic longboarding events in WA and throughout Australia. The event attracts some of the world's best long boarders as well as great community participation, showcasing the beautiful beach and focussed on community engagement and involvement.

The community donations supported the broader marketing of the event to attract more visitors to Cottesloe and to encourage members of the community to get involved.

Cottesloe Scouts - Lockable Camping Trailer

Cottesloe Scouts encourage the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development of young people so that they are enabled to become confident and resilient community members. Their program is targeted towards boys and girls ages between 5-25 providing challenging opportunities for them to grow through adventure.

The community donation supported the purchase of a new lockable trailer to enable camps, tours and a range of scouting events to be provided for many years.
