Road safety improvement program underway

These works will include new traffic calming measures along Broome and Marmion Street to improve safety for all road users.

Thursday, 18 June, drainage installation works at the intersection of Broome/Eric Street and footpath works at the intersection of Broome/Forrest Street and Broome/John Street (weather permitting).

Temporary traffic management will be in place and may result in changed traffic conditions and short-term restrictions along these streets over the coming weeks. Please follow all detour signage and directions from traffic controllers.

Pedestrian bridge over Curtin Avenue and Stirling Highway (next to Pearse Street) currently closed due safety concerns.

The bridge is jointly owned by the Public Transport Authority and Main Roads WA, who are working together to facilitate a safe and timely reopening. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
