About the Opportunity
The Town of Cottesloe is seeking to establish a casual pool of enthusiastic professionals to join our customer service team as Customer Service and Administration Officers. This is a unique opportunity to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, assisting with queries on a wide range of subjects.
Duties in this role may include, but are not limited to;

Providing a high standard of customer service to all customers and stakeholders in person, via phone and email using the Town's Customer Request Management software.

Provide front counter service for customers and generating receipts.

Assisting Ranger Services with permits, infringement administration and appeals.

Assisting with records management including opening mail, and keeping filing and electronic record keeping up-to-date.

Assist with other administrative duties as requested by Finance Manager.

Selection Criteria (Essential)
-
Experience in a similar customer service role including cash handling.
-
Well developed communication and customer-service skills.
-
Developed public relations, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Developed organisational and time management skills.
-
Data-entry experience.
-
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Selection Criteria (Desirable)
-
Certificate III Business Administration (or similar) or equivalent experience.
-
Sound knowledge of the role, services and structure of local government.

Experience in using an integrated computer package and computerized records management.
-
Working knowledge of the Town’s Local Laws.
Appointment Criteria
-
Current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain,
-
Successful completion of (or willingness to undergo) Pre-employment Medical.

Evidence of Australian working rights.
Location and Hours
The Town has availability for multiple casual appointments, with normal shifts between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
