Footpaths

Blue Duck 1

The existing footpaths within the Town of Cottesloe are made from varying materials including in-situ concrete, concrete slabs, brick paving and asphalt. As per Council's Asset Management Policy which was adopted by Council the Town is to ensure that the Council's infrastructure including footpaths are provided reliably, with the appropriate quality levels of service to residents, visitors and the environment.

Civic Centre - Steps to Street

This requires diligence and inspection regimes from Council staff as well as appropriate systems in place to ensure that complaints about faulty footpath sections from residents or visitors can be promptly dealt with. Council is also engaging in a footpath replacement program which involves replacing all concrete slab footpaths with insitu concrete footpaths which will also help apply the asset management policy. To view this program as well as Council's existing footpath infrastructure and proposed future upgrades proceed to the GIS Maps section of this website.
