About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Development and Regulatory Services Administration Officer (Waste Management) to work with our Manager Building and Health to deliver high quality, community aligned outcomes. The DRS Admin Officer (Waste Management) will assist the Manager in managing the town’s waste services.
Key Responsibilities of the DRS Admin Officer (Waste Management) may include, but are not limited to;
- Assist the Manager with running the Town’s Waste Services Collection, budgeting, and reporting functions;
- Process Waste Services Requests;
- Provide and manage invoicing for Waste/Recycling;
- Maintain a register of all applications issued (including associated fees and charges);
- Liaise with Waste Contractors; and
- Liaise with External Waste/Recycling organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications, experience and personal attributes necessary to perform effectively in this role.
Essential
- Significant experience in an administrative or business support function in a medium to large, complex organization.
- Highly developed customer service skills and demonstrated ability to be professional, diplomatic, assertive, discrete, and courteous and maintain confidentiality.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders of all levels.
- Sound technological skills (Microsoft Suite) with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology systems and updates.
Additional Requirements
- Evidence of Australian working rights;
- National Police Clearance (within last six months); and
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical.
