One of the country's most iconic longboard events is set to return to Cottesloe in July, the 26th Lavan Whalebone Longboard Classic is set to return to the shores of Cottesloe for the gathering of the surfing tribes.

The competition will feature multiple divisions ranging from under 18’s through to over 70’s, with plenty of local talent on show. Come on down and get amongst the sunny surf vibes and camaraderie of the West Australian Longboarding community. Longboarding, logging, entertainment, market stalls, licenced area on site, food, coffee and a whole bunch more.

Entry Conditions:

'Under Age' Divisions - Competitors must be under the age specified as of 31st December 2025

'Over Age' Divisions - Competitors must be of age as of 1st January 2025

No refunds will be given within 48 hours of competition starting.

Old Mals - Must be shaped pre 1967

All competitors must ensure their boards meet the competitive standards outlined in the 2025 Surfing Australia rulebook.
