Electric Island event at Cottesloe Beach - 18-19 April

The Town would like to advise residents that the popular Electric Island music event, delivered by T1000 Events, will be held at Cottesloe Beach this weekend.

This large-scale event will bring increased activity to the area, including temporary road closures, traffic changes and event infrastructure setup. Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.


Event Details

Dates and times:

  • Saturday: 3.00pm – 10.00pm
  • Sunday: 2.00pm – 9.00pm

Event Setup and Pack Down

  • Bump in: From Tuesday 14 April
  • Bump out: Wednesday 22 April

During this period, you may notice increased vehicle movements and installation activity around the beachfront.


Road Closures and Traffic Changes

A number of temporary road closures and traffic management measures will be in place before, during and after the event.

Before and after the event:

  • Friday 17 April (6.00pm) – Saturday 18 April (1.00pm)
  • Sunday 19 April (12.00am – 12.00pm)
  • Sunday 19 April (11.00pm) – Monday 20 April (6.00am)

During the event:

  • Saturday 18 April (1.00pm – 12.00am)
  • Sunday 19 April (12.00pm – 11.00pm)

Key impacts include:

  • Closure of Marine Parade between Forrest Street and the Surf Life Saving Club (before/after event)
  • Extended closure of Marine Parade between John Street and the Surf Life Saving Club (during event hours)
  • Forrest Street closed at Marine Parade (rideshare and event taxis only during event times)
  • Local access only for residents on Overton Gardens, Warnham Road and surrounding streets

Detours:
Traffic will be diverted via Pearse Street, Broome Street and Napier Street.


What to Expect

  • Noise: Sound levels will be monitored by an independent acoustic consultant to ensure compliance with approved limits.
  • Fireworks: A short five-minute fireworks display will take place at the end of each evening.
