Pedestrian bridge over Curtin Avenue and Stirling Highway (next to Pearse Street) currently closed due safety concerns.

UPDATE: The Pearse St pedestrian footbridge is currently undergoing bracing works, and Main Roads has advised that the works are expected to be completed before the end of the upcoming July school holidays.

Main Roads are treating these works as a priority. The Town will continue to keep the community updated

Road safety improvement program underway

These works will include new traffic calming measures along Broome and Marmion Street to improve safety for all road users.

Tuesday, 22 June and Wednesday, 23 June, contractors will be undertaking works at the intersections of Broome/Forrest Street and Broome/Napier Street (weather permitting).

Temporary traffic management will be in place and may result in changed traffic conditions and short-term restrictions along these streets over the coming weeks. Please follow all detour signage and directions from traffic controllers.
