About the Role:
We are seeking a Management Accountant to work with us in a part-time capacity, 19 hours/week.
This role will make a significant impact across the organisation by supporting the Town’s financial management, ensuring accurate and reliable financial information and helping managers and Council make informed financial decisions. Working closely with the Director Corporate and Community Services and Manager Finance, you’ll help ensure the Town’s financial management systems operate efficiently and in accordance with statutory and policy requirements.
This role will also give you the opportunity to apply and build your financial expertise across a broad range of responsibilities, including financial reporting, accounting records and financial controls. You’ll work collaboratively with employees and managers across the organisation, providing timely advice and meaningful financial information that supports effective budget management.

Essential Criteria:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, commerce or equivalent substantial experience working in a finance or accounting capacity;
- Proficiency in financial reconciliations, reporting, and end-to-end accounting processes;
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting practices and standards, including the ability to complete statutory requirements set out for local government and taxation legislation;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
- Highly developed communication skills; written, verbal and technological (Microsoft Suite); and
- Demonstrated interpersonal, teamwork and personal accountability for delivering agreed outcomes.
