Abandoned Vehicles
Vehicles left in a thoroughfare for more than 24 hours may be considered abandoned and become subject to impoundment. Please note that vehicles located on Stirling Highway are the responsibility of Main Roads WA (138 138).
If your notice a vehicle you believe to be abandoned on public property, please report it through the form below, or contact Ranger Services on 9285 5000.
Report Abandoned Vehicle
Rangers Services may ask you for the following information in relation to the possible abandoned vehicle.
- Make/model, registration and colour of the vehicle
- Exact location of the vehicle
- How long the vehicle has been at that location
- Contact details of the person reporting the vehicle
Once an abandoned vehicle has been reported to the Town, our officers will attend and place a pink sticker on the vehicle for a 24 hour period. This sticker provides official notice to the vehicle owner to remove the vehicle.
If the vehicle remains after 24 hours, it will be considered abandoned. Rangers will arrange for the vehicle to be towed to an authorised auction house.
Vehicles are impounded at Pickles, Corner of Pheonix Road & Sudlow Road, Bibra Lake. All payments must be made before the vehicle can be released. Payment can be made at the Town of Cottesloe's Administration Centre at 109 Broome Street, Cottesloe, between the office hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
