Bookable Spaces
The Town of Cottesloe has three indoor options and eight outdoor venues that are available for bookings. These are;
INDOOR VENUES
- War Memorial Hall,
- Civic Centre Lounge,
- War Memorial and Civic Centre Lounge combined, and
- Lesser Hall.
OUTDOOR SPACES
- Main Lawn,
- Lower Lawn,
- Secret Garden;
- Sunken Lawn
- The Beach
- Jasper Green Reserve
- Grant Marine Park
- Andrews Place
The War Memorial Hall and Civic Centre Lounge can be hired together to increase capacity.
When booking our venues, factors such as the size of the event, the availability of the venue and the use of the space by the public will be taken into consideration. Please note that in some instances the venue requested may not be the best venue for the staging of this activity.
Bookings can only be made with full payment (including the bond). Spaces cannot be reserved.
* A wet weather backup can be booked at a cost of $320 for the duration of the wedding if another wedding venue has been booked for a minimum of three hours (subject to availability).
** Bonds are payable for all indoor options. The refund of the bond is subject to terms and conditions and subject to approval.

For wedding information
WAR MEMORIAL HALL ONLY
The historic War Memorial Hall forms part of the main Civic Centre building in Broome Street. The hall has stunning jarrah wood details and is used frequently for seminars and large workshops.
- The capacity for the War Memorial Hall is up to 80 people seated.
- Furniture includes 60 plastic chairs.

Adjoining the War Memorial Hall, this carpeted venue can be hired with the War Memorial Hall to increase the capacity to 120 people.
- Includes a basic kitchen.
- Adjacent toilets.
- The capacity for the Civic Centre Lounge only is up to 40 people.
- Furniture includes plastic chairs.

- The capacity for the Civic Centre Lounge and the War Memorial Hall is up to 120 people.

THE LESSER HALL
The Town of Cottesloe Lesser Hall is the perfect venue for indoor workshops, meetings, exercises classes, training, and small events including birthday parties.
- This option includes a basic kitchen that includes oven, fridge, kettle, dishwasher, and hot plates.
- Private use of toilets.
- The venue has Blue Gum timber floorboards and a mirror on one side that can be closed with curtains.
- The capacity for the Civic Centre Lounge is up to 120 people.
- Furniture includes 40 plastic chairs.
- Wheelchair-friendly access and accessible toilets.

Outdoor Space
MAIN LAWN AND MAIN LAWN STAIRCASE
The town's flagship space is a large open lawn that is popular for larger events. It is enclosed by trees and has a view of the ocean. The staircase on the Main Lawn has its own Instagram following.

Secret Garden
The secret garden is magical. Hidden between lush vegetation this hidden space with its fairy tale staircase is a memorable venue.

SUNKEN LAWN
The Sunken Lawn is popular for long table lunches. This space has a relaxed vibe and is often booked with the Lesser Hall so that hirers have use of the hall’s toilets and kitchenette.
JASPER GREEN RESERVE
Located on the corner of Grant, William and Congdon Streets, this park offers a big children's ply area with nearby seating. It is also popular for personal training classes.
GRANT MARINE PARK
Located on the corner of Grant Street and Marine Parade, this park has a children’s playground for children’s parties. This park forms part of the Whadjuk Trail Network.
A car park is located on Grant Street.
ANDREWS PLACE
Also known as Ladder Park, this small playground is located at the end of Andrew's Place cul-de-sac.
It is important to note that the Civic Centre is a public space and that members of the public may walk through the grounds at the time of your event. Hirers at the Town have not had an issue with this before as most people are respectful of events and will not interfere. In the unlikely event that someone does not want to move on, the rangers are able to assist if you have a booking.

HOW DO I BOOK A HALL?
To book a venue please complete the Hall Hire - Online Application Form and send it to town@cottesloe.wa.gov.au Bookings are only made with full payment (including the bond). No tentative bookings will be made.
WHEN CAN I SET-UP AND CLEAN UP?
Your booking times must include set-up and clean up. The venue is to be left as it was found. Failure to clean the venue may result in a professional clean being deducted from your bond.
WHAT FURNITURE IS AVAILABLE?
Limited furniture is available. Please see the information provided for each venue.
CAN I USE MY OWN CATERERS?
Yes, you may use any external caterer. NO OPEN FLAMES are permitted. Food preparation must take this into account.
WHAT PLASTIC ITEMS CAN I USE?
The Town has a policy .
CAN I ENTER THE CIVIC CENTRE WITH MY VEHICLE?
Vehicles are not permitted on the Civic Centre grounds without prior permission. A vehicle access request form must be sent to town@cottesloe.wa.gov.au at least 48 hours prior to an event for consideration. Consideration is only given to people requiring assistance, larger events with bridal cars or equipment trucks.
ARE CANDLES PERMITTED?
No, candles are not permitted. Open flames are not permitted.
CAN I VIEW THE VENUE?
Yes, the venue can be viewed during office hours (9:30 to 16:30) on weekdays. Please contact the Town at least 24 hours prior to ensure that there is no booking in the venue at your preferred viewing time.
