Beach Wheelchair - Cottesloe Beach

BOOK - Beach Wheelchair via SpacetoCo
Surf N Turf Wheelchair - designed to be used on the sand and beach paths. It should not be used in water deeper than 15cm (6 inches) as it can float due to its oversized wheels.    TADWA Beach Trekker - designed to be used on all terrains from soft loose beach sand to hard surfaces and into the water.

The Town of Cottesloe has both a TADWA Beach Trekker and Surf N Turf beach wheelchair available free for loan by members of the public. The aim is to give all people access to the joy of visiting Cottesloe Beach.

The wheelchairs are stored at Cottesloe Beach and are available to hire from 1 October until 30 April each year.

Wheelchair bookings are now confirmed instantly; however, it is recommended that you book in advance so that Lifeguards are aware prior so they can assist you with access. Simply bring your email confirmation with you when you collect the wheelchair from the Lifeguard.

Prior to booking, please read the important safety information and learn about the features of the wheelchairs in the information flyers, available below. Please note, the maximum safe weight of a person using the beach wheelchair is 120kgs. Users are responsible for their own safety. It is recommended that two carers come with users for any assistance that may be required.

For any enquiries, please call the Town of Cottesloe on 9285 5000 or email town@cottesloe.wa.gov.au.

A beach wheelchair is also available for loan at North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club (NCSLSC) with a $300 bond applicable. For further information, please click here to be redirected to the NCSLSC website.
