Save the date! The Town of Cottesloe is pleased to present the 2025 Carols by Candlelight on Saturday, 6 December, on the Main Lawn at Cottesloe Civic Centre.

We have a wonderful evening of entertainment planned, featuring performances by the Salvation Army Perth Fortress Brass Band, A Cappella West, an award-winning female harmony chorus, and the North Cottesloe Primary School Vocal Ensemble.

We’re also thrilled to announce this year’s host: the fabulous Penny Shaw. Penny, an accomplished opera singer and all-round entertainer, began her career in the UK before moving to Western Australia in 1999. She has performed as both a principal artist and chorus member with West Australian Opera and has produced and appeared in numerous shows across Perth and regional WA. Penny’s warmth, energy and humour are sure to make the night truly memorable.

We invite our community—and family and friends—to join us for a joyful evening of carol singing, along with a visit from a very special guest! Bring a rug or low chair, relax as the sun sets, and enjoy your favourite snacks or treat yourself to something tasty from the food trucks onsite.

The event is fully accessible, offering hearing support via headsets compatible with cochlear implants and hearing aids (including guided meditation), haptic vests and AUSLAN interpreters. A low sensory zone especially for children will be available on the night, proudly provided by mental health organisation The Magic Coat. An accessibility officer will also be available to provide assistance on the night.

We would like to advise our community that candles will not be for sale at the event so please bring along your own electric candles to light up the evening once the sun goes down.

Gates open at 5:30pm, and carols begin at 6:45pm. Mark your calendars—we can’t wait to see you there!
