The change in season has seen a sudden increase of sightings of snakes in Cottesloe, with rangers
warning locals and visitors to be snake aware. Public reports of snakes on paths and near sand dunes in Cottesloe have shot up in the past week.
As the weather warms up, snakes become more active as they emerge from hibernation and seek the sun.
If you see a snake on public land, please report the sighting to our Rangers on 9285 5070. Our Rangers are
trained to handle snakes safely.
For your safety, keep your distance and do not attempt to approach or handle the snake.
Town of Cottesloe Rangers only respond to snake sightings on public land and do not collect snakes from
private property
