Proposed Closure of Hawkstone Street and Hamersley Street Bend (Closed)

At the March 2019 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council resolved to seek submissions on the proposed closure of the Hawkstone Street and Hamersley Street bend in accordance with section 58 of the Land Administration Act 1997.

If approved, the closure will create additional public open space for activation. Upgrades will comprise of increased plantings and integration with Grant Marine dune system. Footpath connections within the proposed reserve will also improve pedestrian safety.
