Consultation now open for Local Planning Scheme No. 3 (LPS 3) Amendment No. 13 Residential Building Heights
Posted: 16/12/2022 Closing Date: 04/02/2023 09:35 AM
Notice is hereby given that, at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 26 July 2022, Council resolved to initiate the abovementioned scheme amendment.
Scheme Amendment No. 13 seeks to introduce discretion to building height controls for new residential development.
Documents setting out and explaining the scheme amendment are available below and at the Town of Cottesloe Civic Centre, 109 Broome Street, Cottesloe, during business hours (8:30am – 4:30pm).
The Western Australian Planning Commission considers that the Amendment is more appropriately categorised as a ‘standard’ scheme amendment, as it does not align with the definition of a ‘basic’ or ‘complex’ scheme amendment. Although the Amendment is proposed to broadly align with a State Planning Policy, it does not make the Scheme provision fully aligned with the Model Scheme Text and therefore cannot be considered as a ‘basic’ scheme amendment.
Please contact Planning Services on tel: 9285 5000 if you would like to discuss the scheme amendment with a Planning Officer.
If you would like to make a submission on the scheme amendment, please complete the form (Form 3A) below and email your submission to town@cottesloe.wa.gov.au or post your submission to PO Box 606, Cottesloe WA 6911.
Comments must be lodged with the Town before 4:30pm on Saturday, 4 February 2023.
