Development Applications Open for Public Consultation

Below is a list of all planning (development) applications that are currently being considered by the Town's Planning Services. As standard practice for applications requiring public consultation, the Town will always inform nearby and adjoining households of the proposal in writing for a period of no less than 14 days.

All applications will be processed and determined under delegated authority by the Towns' administration based upon their planning merit. Should a proposal be deemed likely to bear an unacceptably adverse impact on the surrounds of the site subject to the proposal and / or contravene the requirements of the Town's Local Planning Scheme No.3, the Town may elect to discuss the proposal at the next available Council meeting. All submissions received during the public consultation period will be considered at Council prior to the proposal being determined.

Proposed Additions & Alterations to Existing Dwelling - Lot 1 (#10A) Salvado Street, Cottesloe

The Town has received an application for proposed additions and alterations to existing dwelling at Lot 1 (#10A) Salvado, Cottesloe which seeks discretion against the deemed to comply provisions of State Planning Policy 7.3 - Residential Design Codes of Western Australia. The Town is therefore inviting public comment with regard to the following matters:

    Proposed Change of Use to Educational Establishment (Kip McGrath Education Centre) - Lot 15 (#9/136) Railway Street, Claremont

    The Town has received an application for the proposed change of use to educational establishment (Kip McGrath Education Centre) at 9/136 Railway Street, Claremont, and invites public comment noting the proposal includes the following:

    Number of employees: 2

    Number of students: 12

    Hours of operation:

    • 3:30 pm to 7:00pm Monday to Thursday; and
    • Saturday mornings.
